Callaway Apex CB Iron Set Review!

Recently, I had the opportunity to test the Callaway Apex CB iron set during a round of golf, and I was excited to see how they performed compared to my old Apex Pro irons. Designed for a more serious golfer who want some forgiveness with a side of precision, these irons feature a forged design that promises exceptional feel and control.

Right from the first swing, the Apex CB irons impressed me with their solid construction. The moment I struck the ball, I could feel the clubs were much more forgiving than I anticipated. The 360 Face Cup technology helped increase ball speed across the face, and helped on mishits, as they felt very similar to my old Apex Pros.

One of the standout features of the Apex CB irons is their impressive forgiveness. As someone who occasionally struggles with consistency, I appreciated how these clubs offered a larger sweet spot without sacrificing workability. The clubs felt balanced in my hands, which contributed to my confidence on approach shots. I found that I could easily shape my shots, whether I was aiming for a tight pin or navigating around obstacles.

During my round, I particularly enjoyed the performance of the mid and short irons. They provided excellent control, allowing me to hit my target consistently. The trajectory was just right—high enough to hold the greens, but with enough distance to reach my intended spots. Visually, these clubs looked almost identical to the Apex Pro that I had before, as I really expected to be looking at butter knives when I took them out of the box. As somebody who was scared of more of a players iron, these are a fantastic start into the smaller players irons.

Overall, the Callaway Apex CB iron set exceeded my expectations. They are a fantastic choice for golfers looking for a premium set that combines feel, forgiveness, and performance. Whether you’re a low handicapper or looking to improve your game, these irons could be a game-changer on the course. I can't wait to take them out again for another round!
